Opera Carousel is based on a print from 1951, created by a French design company for Liberty. We have many swatches in our archive that do not show the complete printinstead requiring a little bit of imagination to create the full picture.

This rather eccentric conversational design of tumbling ships, spaceships and creatures among flowers is typical of the joyful side of 1950s design.
